Spicy Steak Fajitas Fiesta
Marinate the Steak: In a large bowl, combine the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the sliced steak and toss to coat. Let it marinate while you prepare the vegetables.
Cook the Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, onion, and jalapeño (if using). Sauté until the vegetables are tender and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Steak: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the marinated steak strips and cook over high heat until the steak is browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness, about 4-6 minutes.
Combine and Serve: Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet with the steak and toss everything together to combine. Serve the fajitas hot with warm flour tortillas, fresh lime wedges, and a sprinkle of cilantro.
