Smoky Hot Dog Burnt Ends Delight
Preheat your grill or smoker to 250°F (120°C).
Slice each hot dog into 1.5-inch pieces.
Place the hot dog pieces on the grill or smoker, ensuring they are evenly spaced. Smoke for about 1 hour, until they start to get a nice smoky color.
While the hot dogs are smoking, in a small saucepan, combine the honey, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, and melted butter. Stir the mixture over low heat until well combined.
Remove the hot dog pieces from the smoker and place them in an aluminum pan. Pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the hot dogs and toss to coat them evenly.
Return the pan to the smoker and cook for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour, or until the sauce has thickened and caramelized, creating those delicious burnt ends.
Serve hot and enjoy the sweet, smoky, and savory flavors of these unique burnt ends!
